Jango SMTP has introduced a new method to assign a transactional email to a Transactional Group. Along with specifying the Transactional Group in the Subject line, you can now also specify it in a custom X-Header. Read more on the Jango SMTP Blog
Did you know you can use your iPhone to see who opened and clicked your email? It’s easy to set up by signing up for a free smtp server account with Jango SMTP and changing a few settings in your iPhone. A free account allows you to send up to 200 emails per month.
Follow these steps:
Set up Jango SMTP
1. Sign up for a free smtp server account here: http://www.jangosmtp.com/Free-Account.asp.
2. Your login credentials are mailed to you after you sign up. Use these to sign in to your new JangoSMTP account.
3. Go to Settings > SMTP Relay.
4. Check the Enable Open Tracking and the Enable Click Tracking boxes and Save Changes.
5. Click Authenticate by From Address.
6. Add a new From Address.
Configure your iPhone to send through the Jango SMTP Server
7. Go to Settings on the main screen of your iPhone.
8. Go to Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
9. Click on your mail account under the Accounts section.
10. Click on your current Outgoing Mail Server (***DO NOT CHANGE YOUR INCOMING MAIL SERVER***)
11. Change your Host Name to relay.jangosmtp.net, type in your Jango SMTP Username and Password, and make sure the Server Port is set to either 25 or 2525.
Now your iPhone is configured to track opens and clicks by sending through the Jango SMTP Server. Test it out by sending an email. For more information, visit the Jango SMTP Server How It Works page.
